We survived our first blizzard on Wed., November 19, 2008.  It was an amazing storm with wind gust of up to 50 mph.  The snow was literally blowing back up to the sky.  We got at least 6 inches of snow.  Had the wind not been blowing I am pretty sure it would have been close to a foot.  The problem with high winds is that it blows the snow EVERYWHERE!!!  The boys thought it was the coolest thing in the world.  I have to confess -- the adults in the house thought it was pretty awesome too!!
