Well summer has arrived to 'The Rock'!  We are glad and fortunately have had pretty decent weather.  With that said, the yuk moves in next week with a 7 day forecast (beginning tomorrow) of 40-50 as a high with mostly cloudy & rain!  There's the Kodiak we know and love.  I knew 58 and sunny wouldn't last long!!!  Scott has been deployed King Salmon and is in Nome right now.  He said it is way up there but pretty cool to say he has visited!  Eddie had Salmon camp the week of June 1st and loved it so much, he's already counting down to next year!  You can see that I got my very own kayak and am super thrilled.  The 2 man w/ kids seat yak wasn't big enough for us anymore (Eddie grew a few inches since last summer-YIPPEE)  We have hiked Old Woman Mtn quite a bit.  I am trying to prep for the biggy mtns on our island. . .  Pyramid & then Barometer!!  Whoa. . .  Finley is taking guitar lessons and he is great at it.  He has also had fun teaching me some chords. . .  No hope there for me--maybe I'll take piano!  We are going on a float plane to Shuyak Island (north of our island) on June 21.  There is a ranger station and 4 cabins on the island.  It is a 'virgin' Sitka spruce island--that is the ONLY trees that grow on the island!  Only 25 bears live on the island as well, let's hope we don't get a visit from any those fellows!!  Look for posts from that trip soon. . .  Hope this finds all well!
