The surgeon was great. He feels that surgery at this time is not a good thing. He says since we have been headache free for a couple of months that why mess with anything. This is a birth defect that is not ever going ANYWHERE so Eddie has to be monitored very closely with MRIs at least 1 time a year maybe more of the brain and spine. If the headaches come back consistently then surgery will be revisited. Lets just hope we can keep the headaches to an extreme minimal and that he doesn't develop a hole in his spine. That is the common non-symptomatic thing that happens in cases like Eddie's that is why the MRI has to be done so frequently! Not sure how good it is for an MRI 1 time a year and sedation but better than surgery! SO we will take it for now!!!
